Lahaina is a self taught painter and illustrator, who works with a variation of mediums and disciplines. With qualifications in Garment Technology and Pattern Drafting, and a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design. This background influences her practice in art in both a technical and tangible way. Now she dedicates herself part time as a visual artist in her home studio.
 

    Her objective is to journal personal expressions through art, by the use of visual mediums and other mediums of art such as poetry and also garment making. These technical skills and design studies has contributed to the perspective of her creative processes, human behaviour relating to self expression, and a deep appreciation to the engineering side that marries with passion for art.
 

    In 2014 she became certified as a Pattern Drafter and a Garment Technician, and gained her Bachelors Degree in Design, Majoring in Fashion in 2017. Some side projects she has ventured into and has had the privilege to be involved in are small animation projects, fashion showrooms and presentations.

 

   Lahaina is located in the North Island town of Pukekohe, New Zealand
